The Kazakhstan car assembly plant «Asia Auto» has begun the production of a model KIA Picanto – the first car of the Kazakhstan assembly in over small class. Picanto has become the 8th model in scale of KIA cars of the Kazakhstan production.
The history of cooperation between KIA Motors and «Asia Auto» extends back over only two years but during this time the Korean brand has become more entrenched in the five of the most sold foreign brands in Kazakhstan. Sedans KIA Cerato, KIA Optima and KIA Cadenza enter into TOP-3 of sales in their classes at the Kazakhstan market.
The Kazakhstan car assembly plant «Asia Auto» is founded in 2003. The concerns Volkswagen Group, General Motors, Renault-Nissan-AVTOVAZ and KIA Motors are among partners of the plant. The cars of brands Skoda, Chevrolet, Lada, KIA, Cadillac are produced on the capacities of JSC «Asia Auto».
